Mark graduated in 2012 with a Masters Degree in Writing for TV drama from Glasgow Caledonian University.

To date Mark has written one novel (Coconut Badger), four plays (Serve Cold, Kamikaze, A Scheme, Coconut Badger) and a short film (The Morning After).

Mark is passionate about 'Creative Inclusion' and believes that access to the arts is a right and not a privilege. In particular he is keen to explore ways in which non 'theatre-going' sections of the population are encouraged to involve themselves in the medium.

Along with Playwrights' Studio Scotland Mark founded 'Stage to Page' a monthly workshop for new writing.

Mark has an Ambassador role within the Born to Write programme.

Mark served on the management board of The Scottish Writers Federation from 2011 - 2013.
